About Eshwara

Founded by Veda Pandits, Built for Every Family Seeking Authentic Poojas

Eshwara connects customers across India — and Indians around the world — with verified pandits for online (Zoom) and in-person poojas, so you can focus on the ritual, not on the logistics of finding someone trustworthy.

Our Story

Eshwara was started by a small group of Veda Pandits — Ghanapaatis, Agama scholars, and purohits — who have spent decades performing pooja ceremonies, homams, and Vedic rituals for families across India. Between us, we've stood at thousands of ceremonies: griha praveshams, weddings, upanayanams, shraddha karmas, and festival poojas performed exactly as prescribed by shastra, not shortened for convenience.

Over the years, many of our founding pandits had the privilege of training, assisting, and performing seva alongside respected Peetadhipathis and traditional Mathas across South India — including scholars connected to the Sringeri tradition — absorbing not just ritual procedure but the discipline and sanctity with which these ceremonies are meant to be conducted.

But we kept running into the same real-world problem, over and over — from our own relatives, our neighbors, and the families we served: finding the right pandit for the right pooja, at a fair and transparent price, was unreasonably hard. People would rely on word of mouth, hope the person who showed up actually knew the vidhi properly, and often had no idea what they'd end up paying until the ceremony was already underway.

Eshwara is our answer to that problem — a platform built by people who have actually stood on the other side of the kalasha, not just a booking app run by people unfamiliar with what a proper pooja even requires.

“We’ve performed these very rituals for families for decades. Eshwara isn’t a business idea we borrowed from somewhere else — it’s us solving the exact problem we saw firsthand, for the people who trusted us with their ceremonies.”

— The Eshwara Founding Pandits

How We Got Here

The Problem

A gap we lived through ourselves

As practicing purohits performing ceremonies for families across generations, we kept hearing the same struggle: relatives calling around at the last minute for a Satyanarayan Pooja, a Griha Pravesh, or last rites, with no easy way to find someone qualified, available, and honest about pricing.

The Learning

Decades spent under respected Peetadhipathis and Mathas

Our founding pandits trained and assisted for years alongside various Peetadhipathis and traditional Mathas across South India — including scholars connected to institutions in the Sringeri tradition — learning Agama Shastra, Vedic chanting, and the discipline of proper ritual conduct, not shortcuts.

The Idea

Building the trust layer that was missing

We realized the issue was never a shortage of good pandits — it was that families had no reliable way to find them, verify them, or know the price in advance. Eshwara was built to be that missing layer of trust.

Today

Serving families at home and abroad

From a young couple booking their first Griha Pravesh to an NRI family in the US or the Gulf trying to arrange a proper Shraddha ceremony for a parent back in India, we built Eshwara to make the same trustworthy experience available to everyone, wherever they are.

Built Especially for the Indian Diaspora

One group we thought about from day one: NRIs. If you've moved abroad, you know the feeling — a parent's shraddha falling due back home with no one to arrange it properly, or wanting a Ganesh Chaturthi pooja for your kids growing up outside India but not knowing a single pandit in your city, let alone one you can trust.

Eshwara lets NRI families book a verified pandit for a ceremony back home in India — while they join live over Zoom from wherever they are — or find local, verified pandits for in-person poojas in cities with an Indian community. No relying on a distant cousin to "handle it," and no guessing whether the person performing the ceremony actually knows the right sampradaya.

Whether you're in Bengaluru, Boston, or Dubai — the same verification, the same transparent pricing, and the same properly performed ritual.

What We Do — and Don't Do

We focus specifically on online poojas, in-person (offline) poojas, and general informational resources like the Hindu festival calendar and auspicious-day guidance. We do not offer astrology consultations, catering, decoration, or event-planning services — we'd rather do one thing properly than many things poorly.

How We Work

Verified, Not Anonymous

Every pandit on our platform goes through a KYC and expertise review before they can accept a single booking.

Transparent Pricing

The price you see is the price you pay — no last-minute add-ons, no negotiating at the door.

Your Confirmation Matters

A booking is only marked complete after you confirm it yourself — pandits are paid only once you're satisfied.

Rooted in Tradition

Every ritual follows proper Vedic vidhi and sampradaya — nothing shortened or improvised for convenience.
